With humble beginnings of garment trading outlets in Thamel, first opened in 1994 and second in 1997, Creative Touch Garment Industry was established in August 1999.

The mid-90s until early 2000 Thamel fashion scene was mostly hippy – crazy colours and style. It was not much about quality back then. Creative Touch trailed what was popular and good selling.

With time and experience Creative Touch has evolved into a fashion house offering two seasonal collections, Spring Summer and Autumn Winter, in styles of Funk, Elegant Funk or Funky Chic, Street Funk, Boho Inspired or Boho Chic, Hippie Chic, Goth Inspired and Fairy or Pixie Inspired. The subtle funkiness in Creative Touch style and quality makes the design stand out in the competition.

Women’s Wear, Men’s Wear, Kids’ Wear garments include coat, jackets, sweaters, dresses, tops, trousers and skirts; while accessories include hand-warmers, leg-warmers, hats, caps, head bands, bags and scarves.

Creative Touch is the brain child of Ms. Rajani Thapa. She has more than 24 years of experience in fashion industry. She leads Creative Touch Team and Spirit in design, production, quality control and sales. The team manage and regulate Sales Unit, Design and Sample Unit, Store Unit, Production Unit, Checking & Finishing Unit, Packaging Unit and Account Unit. Skilled artisans from various ethnic backgrounds comprise the creative fabrication workforce of 125 people – 53 women and 72 men. Occasionally the firm also provides internship opportunities to domestic and international fashion students.


Creative Touch Spirit


Creative Touch Spirit is driven by an unquenchable thirst to create beautiful designs, and hence the effort and enthusiasm. Surreal determination and an open mind to make a dozen mistakes before coming with a single design, and creating designs in multiples. An unparalleled expectation from self and team in creating new designs, inspired by design trends and collaborators. Driven to sustain manufacturing base, and bringing joy to buyers who love Creative Touch design.

Each Creative Touch product is handmade. Hand-crafting processes include screen-printing, tie-dye, embroidery, patchwork, various hand-stitching details, beading and sequencing, razor cut, hand-crafted buttons, hand-crafted-felt details, crochet, woollen details and quilting. Often there is a combination of two or more hand-crafting details in any given product.

Creative Touch products are handmade under fair working conditions and fair payment of wages. Most of Creative Touch employees and craftsmen/women receive above industry-average pay.

Creative Touch Fashion is nor cheap and neither for mass consumer. With a medium industrial manufacturing base integrating artisanal processes Creative Touch Fashion is priced in the mid-range of the niche fashion market. Other factor driving price factor is choice of quality and safe fabrics and materials.

Creative Touch Spirit is socially responsible business – giving employment opportunities to about 40% female workforce, offering subsidised canteen, employee welfare incentives and charity for those in times of special need.

Target Market


Niche mid-range fashion market, target audiences like fashionable and comfortable clothing that is slightly different than what is hip.

Our biggest market is western European mid-range wholesale fashion market. Target customers are importers, speciality stores and traders. Consumers are mostly women of 18 to 60 years age group.

A fast evolving market is mid-range domestic urban hipster fashion market. Consumers are mostly women of 18 to 45 years age group.
